What are you all using for a trickle Charger on the 1299s?
I like to keep the battery maintained.
Currently using an automatic battery tender.

I use an optimate, it must be 10 years old now but still works perfectly & never had a problem with a battery. Leave it on for at least 24hrs once every week or two.

Battery Tender should be fine. A battery is a battery (with the exception of the really lightweight batteries for racing that require a different type of charger).

In other words, you won't need a specific battery tender just because it is a 1299s.

Chaotic is 100% right ,
I think if you have a older tender keep it use it it will be fine

I use ctek battery chargers the only advantage I see is they will bring a battery back from the dead where a older style tender won't . I think some battery tender brand chargers now have the ability to function like my C-tek .

In other words smart chargers all have the ability to maintain a modern battery agm battery or conventional . the advantage would be if your battery ever goes completely dead some maintenance type chargers cannot desulfate and cycle a agm style battery.

Battery Tender for lead/AGM batteries. For the Shorai or equivalent you want the specific Li battery chargers. The Pani R ships with a special charger for the battery for that reason.

I have a CTEK on mine and it works great. I like the indicators on the plug that show that charge left on the battery and the charger is actually a battery conditioner, where it can actually repair dying batteries.

There are manufacturers (Porsche is one) that use CTeK chargers specifically made for them. I believe the Ducati charger is CTEK as well.
