....!! $3K. I have been thinking about them, but it seems like you have to change everything,(thats not included) with them....brake lines, caliper cylinders, etc.

I have an R that I track only.....do you feel the difference? Or is it more of an ascetic add on?

Thanks.

You don't have to change anything besides the pads, which are included. It's very important to bed them in properly, even more so than typical new pads on steel rotors.

The brakes work great, and are mainly used to drop tons of weight. You know the benefits of that I'm sure. As a bonus, they look badass ;-)

Also, when they're bedded, they look like mirrors, very neat.

That's what I'm thinking. It will get maybe 1 to 3 track days and ridden in the hills the rest of the time. I also like the looks of the Tri better.

get the one you like the looks of better and that is cheaper if you are not a high level racer. Otherwise you are just playing the ego game having to "get the best" even though you may not even be able to use it.

Karl your still over there right? So I guess you won't be cresting till next week?

:D

Those rotors look badass, especially with the mirrors and dark windscreen. Great looking Tri!

Just went to shift-tech and saw the sicom rotors. For less $$$$ than BSTs you get 2.2lbs reduction in rotating mass up front? Excellent. Can't imagine the handling WITH BSTs. .......! :)

I have yet to buy my 1199. Was thinking of an r but would never use it to its ability. My dealer called me today offering me a new 2013 Tri for 3K off. I prefer the Tri over the S but would have never bought one due to the R being only 2 grand more, and I would add all the carbon bits.

I would like to hear others thoughts on this?

can you ride the R to the limit? Yes --> go with the R

otherwise it's a no brainer for the tri.

I have a Tri and I'm still thinking (suspension wise) that I could have been equally happy with a base with ABS...if you exclude the colours, which are fantastic
