Glad you finally picked up your Pani....
I'm glad to hear you have not smoke to report and as far as the gas gauge and the remaining range....well that's a bit tricky, mine has the low level light come on early then shuts off then back on, for example today i rode about 113 miles, the light came on around 100 miles and was still on when I pulled into the gas station but i could only put in 3.4 gallons.
As far as the gears, I haven't been able to use 6th gear yet, so i agree pretty tall.
Keep an eye on your oil level, had to top off mine at around 400 miles, haven't had to do it sense, now at almost 1800 miles.
Again congrats and enjoy, wait until you get pass the 1500 mile break in, It's a totally different animal..:D

I had mine changed to P at the first service, a major difference for the road. Best is to take a day off during the week, and do the Putty road, Wollombi, old road loop, you will feel all it has to offer, and it loves it. Done it twice now, once running in, then when I could unleash hell.

Go while this beautiful weather holds up.

Cheers

yeah that's what happen to my fuel light. It came on then went off. Then came one again. So i was a bit confused on whether or not it needed fuel. Did end up filling it up and it took about 10 litres.
