I have a Tune and Cruise key for my 2013 1199S

I’ve been using just the cruise function for a year and other then the odd time not being able to turn it on. It works great.

I finally got a windows computer again specifically to update to V6 and active the menu nudge which I forgot to do when I set it up initially.

I’ve got “use menu up and down for nudge” but it doesn’t appear to work. Can’t nudge speed, can’t resume. Can’t set speed with menu up.

Although it seems their documentation is conflicting.

Anyone successfully use the menu buttons?

Nudge only works with a momentary switch like the nudge buttons Tune Boy used to sell.

Yep. Menu up/down works a charm. No, you do no need the aftermarket nudge buttons.

In accordance with the instructions to be perfectly honest...:
"Use menu up and down for nudge" box is ticked on the Tuneboy Config page, that's it.

Is it possible you're not actually activating the Cruise prior to trying to set a speed? When I say activate, I mean by holding the start button for a few seconds. (I do this when waiting for the eng to warmup...it indicates cruise is active by giving a small blip of RPM. Note you need to be stationary for the blip to happen)

If you haven't activated the cruise prior to hitting the street you can still do it by stretching your thumb over to the start button for a few secs whilst maintaining speed. Then release the button and throttle, it will slow momentarily before kicking in. (and invariably overshooting the speed you set until it settles).

Another tip - don't sit in to tall a gear as the speed oscillations will be larger. Which is good practice for these L-twins anyway...don't cruise at anything less than 4000RPM

Happy to help if there;s more issues

I found the error with the menu buttons not nugging speed as a user error. When I relooked at the firmware the box was not checked when I thought it was.

That fixed the menu nudge. But: resume speed, or set speed with menu button does not seem to work.

my original question may have been poorly written. Stating it was unclear in the instructions if this was a function. Or that aftermarket nudge buttons were required.

For the record I have been using the cruise as is for 1000s of miles and it works basically perfect. Anyone looking for this option should definitely go for it. Tho it requires a bit of learning curve. But all answer are found on this forum
