Hi All , How is everyone tying down their track bikes to transport them . With the double sided swingarm I used to use T-rex to the swing arm spools and nothing on the front just sat the wheel in a cradle.

You can buy brackets which mount to the rearset mounting holes for that purpose. You can also go to the rearsets with straps or to the back tire with a harness designed for that.

I use a product called a tyre down. It fits over the rear tyre, and you ratchet it down to your van/trailer. Front just sits in a wheel chock.

Absolutely not! It's there to support the weight of the bike. Although when loading my bike onto a pallet for international transport, I have had to.

And, if you're tying the bike down via chassis components, then you do want to compress it a reasonable amount to stop the straps flapping when you go over bumps.

I'd recommend not tying the bike down by the handlebars, unless you're a fan of bent bars.
Lower triple clamp is OK, but remember, alot of the metal used in the clamps is surprisingly soft.

If you want to strap it in multiple places, I think the brackets that attach to the footrest position are a good idea.

I have seen the Pitbull TRS In action and it looks the ideal solution. No one I have spoken to that has them has said anything negative.

For now though I am using front chock, equivalent of canyon dancers (with soft handlebar cups) and acebike tyrefix for rear. Works just fine but quite a bit of tying. In time I will probably go pitbull but a bit harder to source them here in Australia

I just bought three Pit Bull TRS systems and pins for 6 bikes. It is the way to go if you can make it work for your setup/budget. Zero straps and 100% solid (even if your trailer is on its side after a crash).

TRS is pretty great

Pit Bull TRS all the way! Have been using this product for years with multiple bike brands, there is picture out there of a trailer on it’s side with bikes still attached to the TRS system in same position as they were put in! If I can find it I will post it!

I think it would be tie-down hooks connected via the passenger pegs mounts. That is what I use and it allows you to tie down and stabilize the bike. As mentioned before and I also have that system is the one that goes over the back wheel with ratchet straps. In either situation, you will need loops in the back to connect to and the hooks along with soft tie straps (used mostly for dirt bikes) are quick and easy.

Just a suggestion but peeps using ratchet type straps need to make at least two turns for the strap to stay in place. Less may work loose.

Friction is a thing.

I use a Baxley chock. Just put it up against the forward edge of the bed, drop the bike in, tie the handlebars down to the forward corners and call it a day. You could also wrap something around the rear tire to prevent it from swinging left or right during a hard stop. I never did because the bike barely fit inside a 6.5' bed anyways.

It's another rear solution, but the Moto-D STS system is pretty good too. Well suited for being loaded up backwards and doesn't require any straps. I was a little wierded out pushing my bike from the front up a ramp, but once I got over the mental block, I realized it is way, way easier to do by yourself than loading it up forwards. You can get way more leverage and easily keep the wheels on thin ramps because you can still steer.
