While my Italian isn't quite upto scratch, from what I could understand, that all sounds super sensible and plausible.

Where did you get the info Chuckadolcio?

Thanx XBOX, I've got access to a bit more data than most. Actually, I knew much of this some time ago. Still know more (including lots about AMG), but won't bore everyone with the details. I wish people would stop saying that 'ohh the snow caused a delay.' Yes, it was a convenient excuse, but production was already weeks behind the original schedule and continued to be even after the snow. Also, if one more person says...my dealer told me yadda yadda, I'll scream. YOUR DEALER DOESN'T KNOW. They are being as honest as they can be, but really haven't been told much at all. Truth is, umm, Panigale was well hyped, which resulted in many pre-orders, which Ducati/InvestIndustrial was/were able to show to would be suckers...umm, suitors in their quest to unload the company. They are far less interested in getting you, me or anyone else their Panigale than they are at stopping the dumping of their cash into a bottomless pit, trying to stop the losses and mounting debt, and recouping as much of their obviously unprofitable investment, of which they still haven't been able to recoup a nickel (umm, euro) : ) S models should ship soon (hell they've been sitting on some for a while now...but they do look good to would be suckers...umm, I mean company buyers). If you have been told March delivery on a Tri or Base, I'd say, wake up. As of 2 weeks ago none of those had even been made. If this is news to you, I'd question where you have been. Not to sound crass, but c'mon we've been played and played well. No wonder the price of the 1199 seemed so reasonable for such great new technology...it did well to generate our pre-orders so InvestIndustrial could dump the stock. Don't look for major production quantities to be shipped all that soon (4/15 deadline on buyout offer). Remember, if InvestIndustrial didn't want to pump in cash before a buyer was on the hook, do you actually think they care 2 hoots about financing the company now? To Ducati I say deliver the bikes (although I know that is somewhat of a joke given that the cat is out of the bag now) and to InvestIndustrial I say...can't blame you, you played it as I would have. Time to cut your losses. bravo

It certainly is funny hearing all these rumors and "my dealer said...blah, blah, blah". I put down my deposit in June and even back then, my dealer said a mid to late April time frame was realistic. I was never told anything different...and I am getting the first S with ABS.

I guess that speaks highly of my dealer and the fact that they have been selling Ducati's for 10 years, owner raced them for 6 years prior to that, and they have sold the most volume in the south region for several years. They know what dealing with Ducati is like.

On top of all that, the U.S. sales guru's aren't getting their on track rides and in depth info until April 16th, so I would not expect to see anything prior to that.

I completely agree.

Yup.

This ties up exactly with my info... couple of demo S model end of March, to stave the wrath of the masses, more to follow in April.

Other models (Base+Tric) expected by end of April, early May, but they are still to have build week production slots allocated.
