Explicit remarks removed so as to not offend anyone. From what I've heard aside from this video, and the bikes being douches later on, the guy in the Land Rover started this .....

Aside from the guys on bikes probably being 50% to blame, the .... in the Land Rover hopefully faces aggravated felony assault with a motor vehicle charges :)

"Well ya see, they was, a, damagin' mah hundrid thousing dolluz land rova, I had to run them ova" Your usual Brooklynite piece of .....

First of all, lets remember that there are three sides to every story. Secondly, I have learned through personal experience what the "pack instinct" can to to people. People will do things in a pack that they would never even remotely do by themselves, and in a pack they feel invincible.

I have no idea who was initially at fault, but if I were surrounded by a group of bikes like that I probably would have done the same thing. Of course I or my wife would also be on the phone calling 911 to settle it.

Only in America!

Jokes a side, the guy was with his wife and kids and the rider stopped suddenly in front of him catching him off guard and being sorrounded by a mob like that does not help when they wanted to attack him first.

A person in his right mind will try to escape, you never know what that mob would do and not being racist they all appeared to be black and they do not have such a good reputation on bikes any way.

The driver should have called the police while on the run and had driven to the police station instead but if you are worried that much the brain stops working and all you do is panic.

@White13Pani

Next time do that to a mob in your car with your wife and kids inside and see how would you react when your attacked first. Did you notice none of them had a Ducati? Please don't give Ducati riders a bad name by agreeing to the criminal act commited by the mob otherwise people may as well call you a ''worthless piece of ....''.

i am not commenting on the video at all as you dont know what started all of this . the truck guy could have been on the phone and cut the bikers off which led the one guy to stop in front of him on purpose which made the driver bump him which started this off. pack mentality does funny things also.

however why get off the highway where you can get caught at a light. even better the GW bridge was right there get on it cops all over the place and have them settle it.

what a ......... you never touch a motorcycle, no matter what the monkey in front of you is doing...
see a biker group (squids or harleys) around you? hit the emergency lights and let them move ahead ASAP!!!

how in hell did he think he could get away from the bikers?

godspeed to the ones that were killed!

one last thing who is dumb enough to post this . these guys will all be arrested in a week

I guess you missed the part that said nobody was hurt.

what a disgrace to the biker community. If I was the guy in the Range Rover with my family in the car I'd run everybody over too. While calling the cops of course.

chrome helmets with spikes.. need i say more?
when i see riders such as these on the streets i keep myself faaaar away..

I'm a bit harsh towards the land river, yes. I don't know the whole story so my comment is in many ways ignorant. It appears though that the Rover first caused an accident- then these guys got on his case. If that's not the case then somebody definitely deserved their bike being run over.
I'll wait until all the facts are out before commenting further.

I know one thing- I'm much safer in a 5,000lb range rover than on a bike. He *probably* could've gotten outve the situation without plowing a few human beings.... Just an assumption.

sorry if I see things a bit differently here. . the guy apparently did stop. . we don't know what happened there, but if some ..... brake checked in front of me and I hit him, I'd probably stop and stay in the car. If there were "thugs" beating around the car to get to me and my family (it says wife and young kid), I would be calling 911 and driving the car out of there as well. . . If you think I'm hanging around while a bunch of these people break into the car, try to drag my family out of the car to beat me - you're crazy.. .

On top of that - in many states, you try that .... and someone might pull something out and defend themselves properly. . ..

agree with mali above there.. . One misplaced (or well placed) blow can kill you. Outside of the initial contact of accidentally hitting the bike (which I can see), everything else would have been an escalation and I'm pretty sure it was escalated by the mob mentality.

+1 - I'm a rider and I still wouldn't take my chances with a group like that. Imagine how non-riders feel? In VA this could have been "Citizen with slightly damaged land rover held for questioning in death of 15+1 squids". Let's be thankful nobody was hurt..

cant defend properly in nyc. they cut the driver means they had knives (the bikers beat the driver up and slashed his face).
bloomterd wont allow lawful citizens to carry so you cant defend yourself. the laws never stop the criminals do they? But try to get a big gulp or ask for more salt or my favorite flavored dip (i have to go to jersey flavored dip is outlawed in nyc) whoooo whooooo (those are sirens by the way).

Based on the video, which is all the evidence we have, I would have done the same thing to protect my family.

You know, before I started riding I would have thought that the riders were the wrong, but now I have a new understanding of motorist vs motorcyclist... I have found that people will go out of their way to kill you... The range Rover driver was probably getting pissed off at the biker "punks" and I'm sure hit the 1st guy on purpose, hoping they would all disperse and go away

seriously ? the video clearly shows the biker illegally lane splitting (lane splitting not legal in NY afaik) - pulling in front of the car, cut over in front with one bike length to spare and clearly slowly down pretty significantly while marginally in front. Sorry, we're all bikers here, but that was/is an idiotic move and if you're pulling that off as a stunt, you deserve whatever happens there.

And then as a follow-up incite a riot with a mob mentality. .. . sorry, have no sympathy.

No justification for the bikers mob/herd mentality... I am ashamed to be sport bike rider when I see such behaviour...
