I'm a bit surprised and disappointed by some of the comments here. This is piece of sh*t ......... mob of bikers. My first thought after watching this video on the news this morning was embarrassment of being associated with such trash. You can see from the mob that this is a lawless bunch of squids. The guy clearly cuts him off and hit his brakes (by the way a guy did that here, albeit in a car, caused an accident that killed three and was convicted of murder). And yes, the guy stopped. Then the angry mob started attacking. OF COURSE he got the hell out of there. Maybe you all don't give proper credit to the lethal dangers of an angry mob. He had his daughter. This is why I carry a gun. I get attacked by a mob with my daughter in the car, somebody WILL be shot. And he did it without hurting anybody. Make no mistake; I would plough through this crowd knowing full well I was hurting somebody to get my family away from such an obvious danger. Who cares what the driver may have done before this (and sorry, from the looks of the mob, they were most likely the instigator at fault), nothing justifies the attack on him, and of course any parent would have got their family the hell out of there. And by the way, somebody cuts you off and slams on the brakes, bike or not, they are legally at fault.

+1. I would have done exactly the same thing. The video really hits a nerve in me, knowing there's family in the car.

agree with mali above there.. . One misplaced (or well placed) blow can kill you. Outside of the initial contact of accidentally hitting the bike (which I can see), everything else would have been an escalation and I'm pretty sure it was escalated by the mob mentality.

Here in Texas they take a shoot first and worry about the law later attitude, and if there is even a remote chance that self defense is at issue you don't have much to worry about.

doesn't matter. . The mentality of some Ducati riders on here is no different than the riders that were out there.. . take that as surprised, disappointed, appalled or however you want. but apparently some on here share a kindred spirit with the ..... thugs out there. . .

I think some people are blinded by this cager/biker thing here that they are losing sight of the big picture of what happened. Just because you're a rider doesn't mean you get to be a ....... on the road and rule the road as you see fit when you're in a group of other riders (or think others who do are in the right).

Biker pulled the brakes like a .... range Rover Panicked being he's outnumbered with his wife and daughter only

This is the kind of situation that i dont want to be associated with, and unfortunatly this is the situation that gives us bikers the unwanted image. This is why we are considerated marginals, instead of racional users of bikes and lovers of 2 wheels.

The guy in the bike intended to cause the accident, eventhough i dont know what happened before that.

Anyway, I think that anyone in here would have done the same thing or worst to protect his family.

Has anyone reminded of the trauma that this will cause to that couple and his child?

Hope these guys get jailed fast.

Good to see that there where no Ducs in there. But for society and for the cops, in the end we are all bikers!

All I can say is if I was in the car with my wife and kids, I would be running over bikes until there wasn't anymore around me. Your life means nothing to me compared to my child's.

I used to ride with a pretty large group in NYC. We even has a few bad drivers nearly take someone out. Never did we try to pull them out of there vehicle. Never did anyone try and brake check a SUV on a bike (WTF?). Yea cant say I miss NYC to much, I'll stick around WV for a while. I get to have Guns, land and a large single family home, should we talk about taxes ? lol

search for "Michelinman900 GOPR2893" on You Tube and you'll see a Ducati at 5:55. Different ride than the one shown but probably the same group. Def same cameraman. I can't believe how these A holes ride as a group.
 
First off everybody knows that White13Pani is a racist piece of .......

With that said every time I'm around a group of bikers they are all surprised to see me on my bike and all say only old white douchbags ride Duc's... (I defend all Duc riders since I am one)

Now if u closely look at the footage after the initial bump everybody was at a complete stop, how do we know that this one rider that got hit wasn't asking for his paperwork to properly report the accident. EXACTLY!!!! We don't, obviously we can't hear audio so we cant determine what was said or why the driver of the SUV got spooked and clearly batter rammed 3-5 bikes and at least 1 person, and if you look at second 0:53 theres a biker on the ground that had just been ran over by the SUV. Now fast forward 5 min after they pursued the SUV since he did leave the scene of a "CRIME" that he committed, thats when the bikers got violent and smashed his windows... He wasnt pulled from his vehicle before plummeting over bikes/people so even though the biker split lanes and stopped in front of the SUV the SUV driver committed the initial crime. (other than lane splitting)

I'm tired off all the funny comments whenever its about somebody of ethnicity, minority or a non Duc rider... I own a R thats paid for in full but that doesn't make me better than a rider thats on a 600 gixxer, I just have a better bike.

Looks to me like the bikers reacted to the SUV drivers initial action... When he saw 30 bikes taking over the road his dumb ... should of pulled over to the right and let them pass.

CrazyDuc, you might want to read some other reports. . Other reports are that they surrounded the car and started banging on the car with their helmets and causing damage. Someone pulled a knife and slashed a tire. Apparently driver saw the knife and took off. . He drove until the run-flats were already worn down and got caught by traffic and then got beaten up even more. .

Sorry, you're mistaking on the "crime that he commited part". You lane split and brake check right in front of someone, that isn't a crime in my book on the driver from behind. Thats a stupid move on your part and whatever happens, happens. Any law enforcement person seeing a bike come up IN THE SAME LANE as a car, get in front and rapidly brake isn't going to charge the car with any crime. I dont see how ANY fault is with the driver with the initial impact - and if you don't think a shitload of stuff happened right then and there with those people surrounding the car, you're crazy.

I know guys that were there I will get the exact story but whether I'm wrong or not as a driver with a wife and child I would not come to a complete stop on a light and let them drag me out I would hit reverse and plow some more .... that.... But once again none of us now exactly what transpired after he hit the first bike.... Someone showed me a video not yet posted of them kicking the guys face in..... Pretty disturbing
 
I am closing this thread as all you guys can do is slam each other and not address the topic in hand...
