Yes the officer was in the wrong but since there was no apparent damage then there is no need for an accident report. No harm-no foul.

The way it work here in Tennessee is if the damage is less than $500.00 then you can just exchange insurance information, names and phone # and go about you merry way as long as it is agreed upon by the involved parties and the parties agree on who is at fault and stories match. Some people want to cover they butts and want an accident report to turn into insurance and insist Police be called which is their right.

Speechless but also not surprised. There are a lot of good cops out there but like most things in life it's the bad eggs that get all of the attention.

I agree. Its true for all occupations...i.e. Military, Doctors and etc..

Yes no harm, no foul. But the officer blackmailed the biker in order to keep him from saying anything. I also did not see an exchange of anything other than words.
 
I disagree - the cop should be written up for the way he treated the rider. I think he threatened a ticket because he knew he was in the wrong, and tried to use deference to gloss over that fact.
 
Cop is wrong and he knows it. If biker was hurt or there was property damage, that police dept would be on the hook big time!
