Doesn't look to bad with OEM vents, Its actually hard to see unless you get up close like this. Hard to justify $400 for vent guards..

J looking good. Does that new seat suck up water? I asked a couple of days ago but didn't get many replies. What happens if you pour a cup of water on it? I just don't want to spend the cash to find out I can't use it. I ride my bike to work everyday where it sits outside. and we get unexpected rain all the time.

Update - Just tested, It sucked the water up like a sponge, not sure the best way to dry it other than use a towel and sit on it, but wow never gave that issue any thought, a good rain would probably ruin the seat if not dried up asap..... .... this sucks... because the race seat is just as bad i heard.... However the factory seat SUCKS and is too slippery!

So... was Trauma smoking anything when he recommended that phone cradle?

well he recommended the mount, i found the cradle at ram mounts and it works pretty good and with the phone in it dont look too bad compared to others ive seen...

The Streetfighter comfort seat is a similar material and I have gotten it soaked dozens of times. It dries out, but it does soak up a bunch of water so you can't sit on it for a while if you like having a dry bum.

What's with all those wires sticking out from underneath and that shoddy rubber plug fit? Did you install this stuff yourself? I'm pretty sure you installed the tail tidy upside down.

I have the exact same setup and it works great w my Galaxy S3 for music, calls and Waze for voice navigation!

You're bike looks great! It's hard to to figure out the mount from the picture. Perhaps you could post a pic with your phone or nav hooked up. But, no doubt you'll be the man at Starbucks.

you ride you 1199 in the rain :(

I try not to but the weather in Hawaii can change instantly. Rain clouds blow by all the time so it's not unusual to get rained on while the sun is shining! Looks like I will stick with the stock seat for now, hate to ride home sitting on a wet sponge.

That thing is obno, this is what I suggested, but with mine you would have to go to Dunkin' Donuts for coffee.

Oh, and your garage looks like my friggin' dealer showroom!! Cool! :)

Yea!! I step away from the forum for a few hours to get the wife a imac for birthday (still hates the Ducati, oh well), and look what happens! You guys cannot be left alone for a minute!!

PS I really do love your garage, mine is crammed between the car and a wall :(
PPS I have the red and the black one (long sleeve) but not the white - white is for pansies, especially with bikes.

I've been researching mounts for a Galaxy S3 and the x-grip was the only mount I've seen. However, my concern was a one large bump might rattle it loose. I take it the x-grip clamps a phone in there pretty good?

I'd prefer to mount the phone vertically, but seems horizontal would be the safest.
