I've been researching mounts for a Galaxy S3 and the x-grip was the only mount I've seen. However, my concern was a one large bump might rattle it loose. I take it the x-grip clamps a phone in there pretty good?

I'd prefer to mount the phone vertically, but seems horizontal would be the safest.

Here's one like mine, less obno - just search Amazon for Galaxy Ram mount

That thing is obno, this is what I suggested, but with mine you would have to go to Dunkin' Donuts for coffee.

Oh, and your garage looks like my friggin' dealer showroom!! Cool! :)

Trauma, give me a link to your dual accessorie attachment mount would you? Ive looked all over ram mount and cant find it.. I want a like a T mount that would let me plug in 2 accessory from my one base..

Unfortunately, thats for a Galaxy Tab (much bigger). Would like to have a mount like the iPhone one you have, but it doesn't appear there is one for the S3.

You get this:

Amazon.com: Ram Mounts Ram Base with 1/4"-20 Hole Hex & 1" Ball: Electronics

And replace the center screw with it in this, or the 3 inch if this is too wide:

Amazon.com: RAM 5.25 inch Long Double Socket Arm for 1.5 inch Ball: Sports & Outdoors

What's with all the touring doo-dads on a sport bike? I'm considering something for my GoPro, but will likely just put a 3M mount on the tank.

Seams a little silly considering you can listen to directions via Android.

It's just a matter of having the phone where I can see it, so when someone calls, I can decide to answer. Plus make calls - instead of keeping in my pocket. The other side is for for the gopro. I only have both mounted with the gopro, otherwise, just the phone.

Suppose, I love when people cant reach me. I ride to be in my own world lol.

Holy crapola! That is A LOT of unexplored real estate on that back tire, i am sure the front looks the same, there ....... Come see me or SoulRider, we will take you places where roads bend and stuffs.

J looking good. Does that new seat suck up water? I asked a couple of days ago but didn't get many replies. What happens if you pour a cup of water on it? I just don't want to spend the cash to find out I can't use it. I ride my bike to work everyday where it sits outside. and we get unexpected rain all the time.

I have the comfort seat and i called ducati and asked them if this is water proof they told me NO. Its made of alcantera (suade). i went to a shoe store and purchased suade waterproofing spray. sprayed it on but did not saturate it (didnt want to ruin the foam) let it dry and repeat. works perfect. if you use water to wash the bike just throw a towel over the seat you will be fine.

Yes i said if you use water a lot of people dont like to use water to wash the bike. many including me use honda spray cleaner and polish

Ive tested this thing through speed, elements and lots of bumps just to test it out, and the phone is rock solid never moved a bit. It doesn't look as durable and reliable as it really is, but believe me, the phone is not going anywhere in this mount. you can do vertical or horizontal...

Yea!! I step away from the forum for a few hours to get the wife a imac for birthday (still hates the Ducati, oh well), and look what happens! You guys cannot be left alone for a minute!!

PS I really do love your garage, mine is crammed between the car and a wall :(
PPS I have the red and the black one (long sleeve) but not the white - white is for pansies, especially with bikes.

Thanks for the compliments, i still have a lot of work to do in the garage to get it where i want it but its on the way. also the White shirt i wear when im cleaning my bike :D
