us s-abs reservation vs recieved dates

hello all.
i have a reservation in place for an s-abs and of course the wait is killing me.
so far i've been a good boy and not complained about the anticipated delivery dates coming and going or the complete lack of interest in keeping dealers and customers in the loop from DNA however when i see unreserved bikes at large dealers and folks that ordered the same bike as mine 2 months after me getting theirs i'm more than a little miffed.
just out of curiosity i'm wondering when some of you guys that have taken delivery of this model placed your orders.
i see in another thread that someone who ordered in march has already gotten his bike.
i ordered in mid january and according to my dealer the DNA rep is saying that im so far down the list that they cannot yet give an estimate as to when i could expect delivery.
this is my first foray into the world of ducati i gotta say that so far it has been a very negative experience. hopefully it will get better soon.:confused:

Deposit November 15th, 2011 -- Delivery May 3, 2012. S ABS from Donelson Cycles in St. Louis, MO.
They have more S models and one standard coming still and unspoken for (they may have actually arrived already); but no more ABS models.
 
Here is how my purchase went : I saw the 1199S ABS at the Montreal motorcycle show end of February, I then spoke to my closest dealer the same day who said there was no way I was going to get a Panigale this year, I then spoke to the second closest dealer who said he had one on order that he was going to use as a demo but decided to leave it to me if I was giving him my deposit right away. I asked him to write on the sale contract that he had to give me the exact delivery date within 2 weeks. As I expected he told me 2 weeks after, that I was not going to get the bike this year.
I started to make phone calls all over the country and finally found a dealer that was willing to commit and promised I was getting my S ABS in May. What surprises me is that I e-mailed him last tuesday and he still had no clue when I was going to get the bike.

It's now at the dealer and I gave my deposit on March 10th.
 
deposit in Feb. at touringsport BMW on a Base ABS. After the unveil, where the first guy got the unveiling bike delivered (April 27th) i decided to go for the S ABS, whic was supposed to be in around May 1st or 2nd. The bike didn't show up since, but a guy had his Tricolore delivered.

So the wait is killing ME!

I told the dealer, which ever model comes in, i will take a look at it and then decide...
 
Deposit placed on a S w/ABS on 4/4/12.

Ordered changed to a Tricolore on 5/5/12.

Picking up my bike on 5/25/12.

I'd say that is pretty good.
 
I believe your referring to my order, March order-May delivery. My wait was short because my dealership didn't have a large line of orders, I was the only the second S/ABS ordered.

just got a call that the BASE ABS i initially ordered (put a deposit on) will arrive next week.
had a strange feeling about the "S" anyway, so i will hopefully receive the bike within a week...
 
Non refundable deposit paid 2/22 on S-ABS. Just received email today, 5/24, that UPS is showing delivery tomorrow!! So a little over 3 months wait for me. I have got the VIN as well. Delear in New Orleans (the one that hosted the DNA dealers track day) so doesnt look like any preference shown to the dealer!!
 
2/14/12 deposit on 1199S no ABS. Arrived 4/26 and was dealer launch bike on 4/27. Cancelled on 4/27 to move to a Tricolore which a buyer had backed out on. It arrived 5/3.

Delivery May 24th
Less than one month! One of the hottest days too. 92F
S/ABS
 
Ordered a tricolore in late oct and still haven't seen it! The wait is deffinetly less than fun!!

i received my s-abs today.
i had to drop the dealer i made my original deposit with and buy a bike that was on another dealers showroom floor.
really pisses me off that the distributor made me feel like an ....... by cutting my chosen dealer out of the deal as he is a good guy.
on the other hand i now have the bike i have been wanting since i first laid eyes on it back in december.:)

if anybody in the GA, TN, SC area is looking I think NPR out near Athens, GA has a S model on the floor unspoken for ;)
