I have been through the manual and have not noticed any recommended values for front and rear sag...anyone know what Ducati recommends?
We set sag at the dealer at delivery but I need to check...currently 0mm race sag, doesn't seem right.

Best,
Dave

Hit him up, it should be under $100 for a skype call so he can help u dial it in perfect. U need the ohlins tool

he, dave moss, mention 8 to 12 static in the rear in one video but I forget which model. I brought mine home today, pulled into the living room and started with the rear pre-load. I am light, so backed it out two turns. the front pre-load was 24 out soooo run through the owners manual for initial settings

let’s see it in the living room haha I’m out of room in the garage now.
Yeah that sounds like a good guideline but tweaking the suspension in real life, gotta go out do some laps see how it feels then adjust. I am not a track rider, that’s boring. No cops to run from

One thing I just discovered on the front suspension...check sag AFTER riding when the forks are warmed up! I seemed to get about 10mm or so more travel (sag) when checking hot vs cold...I knew something was up because I was using all the front travel. This was a huge ride height difference and the attitude of the bike seems much better...even the seat seems more comfortable.

Best,

Dave

ze spring shouldn't be effected by oil temperature like the compression and tension valves operation. I can see how temps would effect the 'sticktion'.

I agree. I was lifting the front end using the sidestand...we tried to get the measurement done quickly. Maybe when the forks are cold they take a while to extend all the way? This would affect the measurement when fully extended, and I think that was the main problem.
Sag was first set at the dealer...cold...and when we checked again weeks later (cold) we calculated 40mm...so I thought I was good, except I started checking the fork travel. Too much - so I decided to add a half turn of preload, and when we measured everything (after riding)...surprise, surprise, about 50mms sag!

Best,

Dave

Also, you can take 3 measurements and get 3 different numbers. Have fun!

everyone's settings will be different. i'm light so, with a full tank about 10mm static in the front and another 25mm with me. rides well.

you can see where my zip-tie is from tonight's ride but I never had to brake hard. 2nd gear stuff. break in is done so I twisted it up a few times.

I felt like my preload was set way too high from the dealer. Funnily enough, in the owners manual it recommends 6 clicks in (softer) for racing vs 7 clicks in for street. I guess they do this for slightly lower ride height in the front/steeper rake (and compensate with way more compression damping). I’m pretty happy at 5 clicks in for street; did some heavy braking, went over some speed bumps and road gaps with like 15mm of travel left
