Interesting, $300.00 for a part that serves no purpose over the stock piece. I knew I should have stayed in psych class. Fascinating stuff.

Actually it is serving a purpose. It's making people who have been here a long time chuckle in the background. Its sarcasm not directed at you personally but at the direction this board has gone in a short time. Place used to be pretty decent, not it's just re posts of stuff that's been posted to death. So I meant no offense.

Yeah the board has gone from what used to be good info to bad in short time. Its too bad Phil couldn't create that technical section just for the few on here that could put it to use.
If both of you guys have been here a “long” time it’s up to you to make the “newbies” feel welcome.
When any new model is introduced you will have a influx of new buyers and new people to the brand. Please don’t fall into the stereotype of that elitist dbag that is synonymous with Ducati owners.
I’ve done these installs for 20 plus years but I took my time to post this because if it helps one person then I’m contributing.
Good post. Thank you!
I am going to try the trick with lifting the bike over the side stand to yank the clamp off without tapping. Will see!
Do you have a picture of this? I'm trying to envision. I know obviously there's the front and rear pitbull stands and the triple tree stand but where do you lift at over the side stand on the V4?Ok, here's something useful:
If you, or a second Person, lift the Bike slightly over the side stand, to the point where the fork is complete free of up or down force, the triple clamp will come of with two Fingers. If not, the Fork is damaged.
There's no need for brute force and risk scratches in the outer tube.
the advantage over the stock piece is, it has round edges and so it won't kill your straps.
Love the V4R..Well said. I have been a member of many forums and these types of guys always exist. I appreciate your types of posts and please continue posting them.
My super clean bike from the same day as the last pic I posted...

I bought one for my 1299S. After install, when trying to lock the bike, the locking pin hits the curved back (towards tank) of the triple clamp. So, the bike can't lock due to the edge of the clamp blocking the pin.
Did you have any issues?
