V4 Front fender vs 1299 Front fender

Does anyone know if the 1299 front fender/mud guard will fit on the V4?

If the forks are the same I can't see why not . I put a v 4 one on mine it fits perfect

so im clear.. you put a V4 front fender on your 1299 and it fits?

From what im told the 1299 will fit but its very tight to the tire, it seems that the v4 has more space between the fender and the tire.. It may become a issue with the ABS cable that runs underneath.

It definitely has a bit more room (which sucked on the 1299). I noticed when changing rubber the other day, it was much easier to reverse roll the front tire out from under the front fender than on the 1299.

The 1299 fender tip would dig into the tire quite a bit and put a lot of stress on it. Thought I might break it a few times, but I'm just too lazy to take it off.
