Sorry Paul, nice bike regardless but without a Samco kit, could fix the fuel leak my 2 cents

My remedy would be leave the front breather open and install the -125° samco hose on the rear drain barb

Holy cow gents, you are getting into it...
What about to do what I was thinking to do over the winter, just take the two hoses from the tank and connect then via an Y connector to the left hand coolant overflow bottle? Would be good to go? Do you need to do something electrical on a -22S?

You could use the left side overflow bottle like that, but I’d be sure to unlink it from the right side coolant overflow.

As long as you leave the connector plugged into the purge valve you would need to do anything electrical.

Once I switched to an aftermarket gas cap, all of my fuel dribble problems went away. I routed all lines to a piss bottle when I had the factory cap still installed. I used an aluminum bottle, but I digress.

With the stock cap it would gather fluid. Aftermarket cap, it's bone dry. Check ball or no check ball, it didn't matter.

I switched to the LighTech gas cap so I could use the Ripper fuel spout which was recommended by @craig bush and is an amazing product. No ....... around with funnels or tubes.

The only thing I wonder about your setup is venting fuel vapor inside of the fairings. It's almost a bomb until it encounters an ignition source, then it just becomes a bomb.

Where is this hose routed to?

Is this the vacuum line?

To double check about compatibility with fuel in the left coolant tank, there should be a number with triangular arrows around it molded into it. A Google search of same would reveal chemical composition, a subsequent inquiry would reveal resistance to solvents, i.e. gasoline.

The vent tucks behind the fuel tank and is open. You are correct about the vacuum line, it was trimmed back but still connected at rear crankcase.

I've been searching for a fuel cap and will be using that setup you mentioned. Personally I haven't been worried about fuel vapors as the fairings are "open" considerably for airflow or while driving. The vapor is also heavier so would drop towards/flow outward from bottom of the bike. It seems that the replacement fuel cap you mentioned help with fuel dribbles, and I haven't had an issue with a tank drain with the stock cap but samco hose installed on rear port. I think those 2 items would prevent any fuel leakage from the tank
