Is there any way to get the V4 streetfighter ducati accessory heated grips to work on a v4 panigale?

That might be more trouble than you'd initially think. The button for the heated grips is on the right handlebar and is thereby wired through the throttle wiring. I suppose you could ignore that and just power the heater circuits, but I don't know how you could control them other than a simple on/off.

Since they are essentially the same bikes I thought maybe there was a way to add the harness and the right switchgear and enable in the software. But ducati probably isn't the best company to support modifications like that.

I was also looking at OEM SFV4 heated grips for my V4S.

My dealer told me the SFV4's have additional wiring, CanBus and ECU control for this, the PV4's don't have.
Only option would be DiY directly connected to the battery with manual switch in between?

Tuneboy has it for other panigale's and says they are working on it for the V4. But let's not get into my experience with tuneboy. It is shocking a bike like the streetfighter does not have cruise.

Since the bikes are nearly identical, it would have been great to see Ducati create an upgrade/accessory path for heated grips for panigale owners.

When I look those grips are only listed for the streetfighter v4/V4s

I went the Tuneboy route for my 1199 and having cruise control on the 1199 was amazing. But, Tuneboy wasn't without its issues.

I can't believe every manufacturer isn't doing cruise. At this point, everything you need is there. I would even implement it like Tuneboy where its the start button which sets it. Any brake, throttle or clutch activation cancels it. I want to say Tuneboy even had a nudge function for increasing and decreasing speed, I just can't remember what control was used. Point being, don't to it like BWM with additional buttons.

ETA: Fuel gauge. The bike calculates its economy and range, a gauge would only be pixels occupied in the dash. It seems like a lazy omittance.

Factory fitted heated grips from other motorcycle manufacturers are discreet and efficient. I leave my home to enjoy quieter roads at 6am, when it is often cold, even in summer here in the UK. Ducati should really be offering this product. Until then, Oxford have a decent set of heated grips, not as discreet as I'd like, but a good product nonetheless. I use these, (after taking the piss out of my mate!) since trying his. Haha

I think they mean V4(s) streetfighter, not streetfighter and v4(s).

When I ask my dealer, they state no heated grips are available as an accessory through ducati for the v4 panigale.

Just in case anyone clicks this thread to read about the grips on a Streetfighter V4, I can tell you they are marvelous. On high they get very warm. Having never ridden with heated grips before, I was surprised how they change your perception of how cold you are. You're not really any warmer but just having that bit of heat in your hands is amazing.

Way to rub that one in for us panigale owners :)

Get some heated gloves and a heated jacket and it's a whole new ball game!
