V4R Black Frame Covers

Hey Everyone,

From what I can see from all V4R promo pics/vids, it appears as if they have black frame covers.

I wonder if we will be able to purchase those as a Ducati aftermarket part.
I have a set of Lieb Carbons I've yet to install, but honestly I'd rather keep everything all black as opposed to carbon.

What are your thoughts? Will Ducati sell them as stand-alones for non-V4R riders?

It's Ducati, though. So expect to pay as much as a nice carbon part, anyway.

It is hard to tell are they covers or a black frame?

Specs say the frame is optimized/changed over V4/S

Yes it states the frame has been optimized for stiffness. It could be that they changed it to black. It looks good to me. I added the carbon covers to my Speciale to get that look.

I bet they did nothing but add black plastic covers to it. If you look at the video you can see where the cover stops and raw aluminum is. I’m thinking the special thing about this bike other than small change in looks is the titanium rods, larger throttle bodies and such to get the higher RPMs. The rest is very nice don’t get me wrong but I’m all set with the hype.

Which coves did you buy? Were they shiny or mat ones? I’m thinking of getting some for mine but want the carbon to match the DP weave

It's paint people, not covers on the V4R.

I went with the matte covers for my V4S since the Akra exhaust has a matte finish to the exhaust cover. Gloss wouldn't have matched.

I did the same matte finish as all of the carbon is matte. I am hoping to see the V4R if they have it at the Long Beach IMS show 11/15-11/17.
