Along the same line 650ib weighed V4R stock exhaust. Ducati says 425lb, scales said 438lbs. After Full Akra installed dropped to 418ish..

230 at the crank is about 200 at the wheel. This is not low. He will gain a few more ponies after the engine is broken in.

Exactly 3 people on this forum can ride the same bike a half second faster around a track when it has 10 or even 20 more HP, coming from, let’s say 190

Just saying.

The rest is bragging rights

They don't think so my friend lol!!! I have been racing several years and love seeing guys on old SV 650 smoke Riders on their liter bikes...

You're probably right, and I'd go even further to say that too much power slows you down. Too difficult to modulate.
I must admit though, where the average racer will make use of more power is on a track with loooooong straights.

I still think my Speciale is top dog in terms of absolute BHP .. but I hear the R's have even more mid-range torque..

650ib has already put his V4R on the dyno and he pulled 200rwhp. He uploaded the video onto youtube last week. His old V4 Speciale made 197 or 198 rwhp with the full Akra system. So a bit disappointing if you ask me

He's good to go of, he tells it how it is.

Buy a BMW S1000rr and dyno please thanks...Ride it...Only a Dyno number..
Here we go again:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Old news....

My problem is are you getting what you payed for... That is all.
The rest is politics.

:rolleyes:Well i missed that thread sorry BRO.

Seems like some people that are inclined to want the V4R really should just get a H2R

Why not both?

Decent weight save after the full akra! Notbad at all.

As long as you're getting what you PAYED for..

Well yeh lol.

My First trip to phillip island, my friend on his 250 was destroying guys on r6's etc who had no clue how to ride, obviously on the straight he was getting obliterated but once the turns started that was it.. But thats why you do a track day, to learn.
If people think buying a litre bike means you smoke everything on a circuit, well they're in for a rude wake up call.

Talent> everything else.

you do realize he also added BST carbon wheels, removed his clutch cover (its exposed), removed rear license plate fender etc... so it wasnt JUST exhaust in his weight savings

Complete garbage pulls. I demand you retire those bikes to me now, I'll make sure they are disposed of properly (pssst....Hey Karl or Dar, want to go in on the 2nd one?)

Exactly.

My current rides weighs 363lbs and has 190hp and 102 tq. I don't think I would be any faster on the V4R. I do think though that I could do more consistent fast laps on the V4R though. I have ridden the V4 and as far as the amount of effort it takes to go fast on that bike is SO much less than it is on the V2.

Now on a personal level. I am 51. Been racing/riding for the better part of 38 years. For ME. I just like how the V2 made be feel after I was done racing it on track. I feel like a "Holy Balls that was fun!!!" The V4R "well that's nice, feels just like an electric motor (smooth and linear. Just like a BMW, Honda or Kawasaki)"

Just make sure your ambition does not outweigh your talent :D

Best quote that i originally heard from casey stoner, i use it all the time lol.

Killer picture, love it.

Rea isn't getting beat by the bike. He's getting beat by Bautista. The skill gap from MotoGP and WSBK is a lot more than everyone previously thought. This is evidenced by the fact many have the bike (V4R), but no one is handing it to the rest of the riders like Bautista is.

More precisely he's being beaten by the package and I concede of which the more important part is the rider (Bautista). The package is well put together and fits like a glove. Best bike with the best rider.

I know some folks were a little upset with the Dyno numbers produced so far from the 2019 Panigale V4R.
They are in line with the Crank to Rear Wheel margins of 12% to 15%.

Here is another Dyno Run of the V4R at Motorcycle Mall In Belleville, N.J. if interested.
Different Dyno, Different Day, Different Temperature/Humidity, Different Conditions, Different Break in mileage, produce different results. :)

I would guess most will be from 200-205 Hp with the full Akro exhaust, the numbers above are very impressive... Like stated, all dynos are different.. I will judge mine on how many Race wins and podiums I get this season!!

My 1299 FE delivers 187 HP at the wheel.
I was told there is 12 % loss, which would make exactly the claimed 209 HP.

When I consider 15 % loss, my FE would deliver 215 HP at the crankshaft.

So either way, mine seems to be in good shape and compared to the latest and greatest piece of craftsmanship from Ducati I'm pretty happy with my bike and its performance as my bike is not too far away and even lighter, I guess.
And mine has more torque. :)

Note: My Bike is stock Euro 4.

HOWEVER, I would love to own a V4R, too...

A dyno shoot out between a V4 and a V4R.

Looks like that V4 Speciale is making less power than it was when 650ib owned it, as I'm sure he pulled 198hp or 199hp on that bike when he owned it?

The difference in power delivery just confirms that the V4 is a far more suitable street bike than the V4R.

Awesome start to the season, mine starts at the end of April At Thunderbolt.. I'm missing this coming Race At CMP because my V4R Race build is not done yet.. Keep us posted on your season and I will do the same.
