Was a great weekend in the end, great for working on bike settings too
NICE! I was glued. Late to a meeting because of it ;P
Sound is your friend. Hearing motors is very cool. Gives it more of that, I'm there feel.
@RickD996 nice video Rick! Can you post details on the track layout? How many miles, quality of tarmac, elevation change...
Tarmac - v good to perfect.
Elevation change - zero
Silverstone National layout.
Approx 1 mile, at a guess?
That's good to hear on pavement quality. When I lived in new england (Boston area), all the tracks suffered from frost heaves because of the bad winters and so pavement quality was always bad. I was curious how England dealt with cold weather, but I don't think it gets as cold over there as it does here. Do they frequently repave/repair the tarmac?
I am amazed you are choosing to race the beast in these tiny little 1-mile circuits. What's the most popular and well attended race class in your league? 650 twins? 400 and below?
Sliverstone MotoGP record is 1:59.9 so its a long track
Found this
"Inters group is 2.40-3.00.
Fast is 2.25-2.40
Below 2.25 is quick"
Most circuits often have repairs carried out over winter, not sure if it's just wear and tear.
Haha, the 1000s are the most popular class!
The next circuit is a big and fast circuit, Snetterton 300. We also have Donington Park and Brands Hatch GP circuits to look forward to. We also have Cadwell Park, and Oulton Park, which are both tight twisty affairs, and hugely physical on the big bikes!
