Cheers fellas, room for improvement, and it feels like there's plenty of capacity in the bike!

Nope, still the old V4R. I rode the 22 on track yesterday though! Hoping to ride it again next week..

Tarmac - v good to perfect.
Elevation change - zero
Silverstone National layout.
Approx 1 mile, at a guess?

That's good to hear on pavement quality. When I lived in new england (Boston area), all the tracks suffered from frost heaves because of the bad winters and so pavement quality was always bad. I was curious how England dealt with cold weather, but I don't think it gets as cold over there as it does here. Do they frequently repave/repair the tarmac?

I am amazed you are choosing to race the beast in these tiny little 1-mile circuits. What's the most popular and well attended race class in your league? 650 twins? 400 and below?

Most circuits often have repairs carried out over winter, not sure if it's just wear and tear.

Haha, the 1000s are the most popular class!
The next circuit is a big and fast circuit, Snetterton 300. We also have Donington Park and Brands Hatch GP circuits to look forward to. We also have Cadwell Park, and Oulton Park, which are both tight twisty affairs, and hugely physical on the big bikes!

Silverstone is an F1 circuit, it has the following layouts/configurations (the circuit can be split into two smaller circuits (National and International)):
Full GP circuit - 5.891km
International circuit - 1.8miles
National circuit - 1.6miles

It's not uncommon for circuits in the UK to have a couple different configurations. But as Silverstone is so big, they can split it into two separate complete circuits.

You ever get over the the Isle of Man? That is definitely a bucket list item. (watch the TT and ride it) I wonder what getting a bike over there would be like from the continent.
