Not sure it is, LED's shouldn't flicker like a TV that has a 50/60hz refresh cycle.

On second thoughts, maybe your right. Ducati, BMW, Porsche, Audi and Mercedes have wierd rear brake lights that only strobe on YouTube :p

Did I say LED flicker

I said the camera that records it, no:confused:

Sorry I didn't explain very well.

The flicker you see when you point a video camera at a TV is caused by the fact that both the camera and the TV are scanning at 50 or 60 times per second and if they're not perfectly in sync you get a strobing effect. The human eye doesn't scan in this way and isn't quick enough to see the 50hz flicker of a TV directly.

However, the LED's lights on the bike shouldn't be flickering at all and so the camera should see a solid consistent light. The youtube videos of the panigale headlights taken at the many bike shows don't flicker either. So I don't believe its a camera side effect.

Actually, having looked at a number of the videos I'm not sure it isn't a camera induced flicker. I only seems to happen on the centre section of the lamps, is this the dipped beam? Maybe Ducati are controlling the intensity of the LED's by switching them on/off rapidly?
