What changes for 2017?

Hey they streamed a couple of races live, but it was a cost issue. They have a YouTube channel where you can watch a few of the races. I actually thought about you coming out to wildcard. It's about $2k but it's really a first class operation and the competition is varied enough that you won't get murdered. Though the front guys are stupidly fast. I will find the link and post it. Go to YouTube and type in Bahrain superbike. And you should find it.

About the wildcard, they've had several guys fly in to race from all over the place. You should consider it for next season. I encourage anyone to come.

Damn Thamer, small world. I just went to one of your races two weeks ago. Are you #44? Not a bad little series. I'm in Riyadh for a year (5 months to go) so it was nice to see some bikes on the track again. Good luck in the last two rounds.

Is there any solid info out for possible changes for 2017? I'm considering swapping to a 1299 from my 15 S1000rr. The S is a solid machine but at high altitude it feels much diminished and the excitement factor is leaving me underwhelmed. Starting my research process, lots of good info here. Thx guys.

All bikes suck at high altitude.

The 2017 will have V4 to take on the Aprilia :) i hope i dream :) i mean right now our bikes look sexy but the sound is not in the Aprilia class so let's hope we'll get the V4 for 2017.

Spoke with my dealer yesterday - no major changes planned for 2017 for the superbike line with the exception of the 1299 superlegera.

we already know the 17 wont be a v4 and the new sl coming isnt a v4 and its a 17. the anniversary is a 17 its not a v4. maybe 18 but not 17 no way possible

Who says they can't release a new model mid year?

Tech at local dealer mentioned he thinks it's impossible to get 1299 Euro 4 compliant.

I read somewhere that manufacturers were allowed to sell a certain nr of bikes as left-overs , so I still believe they'l bring out a new engine/model at the latest spring next year.

I believe they can sell something like 10%?

My dealer also said he can't get hold of the R's anymore as they're sold out. People who were waiting have now made the jump because if they leave it too long they won't be able to pick one up new........

Christ the emission regulations on a motorbike is crap.

Build one for Australia.

We can get away with coal powered, black smoke belching, Akra noted, death machine as long as it complies with OH&S

so no 2017 Panigale R's ? That would be too good to be true (for us owners) :)

I guess that's what he was saying. As the gentleman already said, the bike just doesn't comply with the new regulations.

I don't think it's impossible and I'm sure you'll be able to get one at a push, i.e. Built this year and registered in 2017. But essentially you already have a sort after machine.

We need some of that good ol fashion VW emissions defeat software loaded into the Euro 4 bikes. Problem solved.

Last year coming of this bike anyway as 2018 will bring a V4 like I have been saying was coming for the last 6 years. but Ducati CEO's kept lying saying they were not working on aV4.

Because you're not asking the right questions........

There will be no V4, period.......... but an L4, well now you may be on to something ;)

They will be able to sell the EURO-3 1299 panigale until it's replaced by a new model. 959 is already EURO-4 because it was a new model! 959 was released 1 year after 1299. If the 1299 would have been released end 2015 instead of end 2014, it would have had the fugly 959 exhaust as well!
