I may just throw a piece of tubing in there and go with the tubing and a wrench. Is this the right size for all the bleeding on the pani (brakes, clutch, etc.)? I haven't checked them all, but could have sworn my SF clutch slave was the same size and was 8mm or 9mm. I'll have to double check everything.

Alb - do you find 4 standard size CO2s is enough to get you moving to a gas station? Just curious due to the volume. I use CO2 on mountain bikes and road bikes, but our back tire is pretty massive. I'm guessing 4 just gets you enough pressure to slowly get somewhere? Thanks for the motion pro links. Looks like good kit.

Not had the opportunity to try it to be honest. I suppose anything is better than nothing. May let you roll to the nearest garage.

I bought two of the kits. One with CO2, and the other without.

The one without (pictured) fits perfectly, and I just added the CO2 from the other which lives in my FJR. I carry a proper compressor under its seat.

Definitely better than nothing. I doubt they would package it that way if it wasn't enough to at least get you rolling. Whoever is the lucky guy that gets to test it can report back to the group. :)

Apologies, may have been the 8mm. I'll check and report back.

Yup 8mm.

I see you did the chop the passenger grab strap mod. One of my first mod's. Just takes up space and is a good cause for incomplete cowl attachment.

Yeah im guilty lol. On my previous model i'd go threw the hassle of removing the strap the proper way, but I think I was in a hurry one day.

I will eventually remove the stubs and actually rig up a helmet latch with the same hardware.

I keep the little toolkit in there with some extra allen keys but some of the room is taken up by some Kreiga straps that are permanently bolted in to make the Kreiga tailback more secure. A trick I got from another helpful fellow forum member.

I always keep my mobile phone on my person so if I go off the road into the scrub by myself and am still conscious I can perhaps call for help. If I end up some distance from the bike but unable to get to it, I still have comms with the outside world maybe.

Ditto; I just throw a small Kriega bag (5 or 10L) on top of the passenger seat if I'm wanting to pack anything for a day out. Not enough room under the cowl for much anyway, although this thread has proved what can be snuck in there - some useful stuff amongst all the smack talk! ;)

Where you do have your Kriega straps bolted? I removed the passenger strap and bolted mine to the studs where it was attached, but can't get the cowl on with them there. Passenger seat will go on but barely, and doesn't fit as flush as it should.

(Nevermind the last Q; found Dennis' post on it - replace the latch mech bolts with longer ones. Off to hardware store this weekend!)

I am on the other side of the fence - rabid tire plug fan. I plug anything I can get my hands on (that's what she said). I put a couple thousand miles on a plugged tire on my bike a couple years ago and just plugged a tire on my wife's car last weekend. I almost enjoy plugging tires! :)

I too have put thousands of miles on a plugged rear tire before and wont hesitate to plug a tire to make it home.

I don't think i'd ride on a plugged front tire for extended period of time though...in the back of my mind I just don't think it's as safe as a plugged rear and so I wouldn't be able to ride freely :).

Guys keep in mind, yes use common sense when plugging tires and how long you can safely ride on them. Location location location (location of the puncture that is)...I guess nothing is common sense anymore lol.

That's nothin', Cloners getting some Black Knights (I think) to help him beat you up.

It's an adulteration of a Marcellus Wallace quote from Pulp Fiction, Trauma. You gotta get some education in "the classics". ;)
