Hey guys,

I am planning to buy new sets of tires for my v2. I mostly do highway riding where my average speed is around 100 KMPH. The current tires Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II has poor mileage. Has anybody tried any other brand or hard compound tires on V2?

I plan to try next the Rosso III as the Rosso Corsa II is overkill and poor mileage for the straight Florida streets and no track duty.

I have the Rosso III on my V2. They feel the same as the Corsa tyres. They may offer less grip, but I can’t tell - they’re sticky enough for knee down antics. I ran them on my MV F3 for about 15,000 miles and was very happy with them.

I also plan to go with Rosso's next time around, should be plenty of grip for a sane street rider. I have Q3+ now and hate them very much, hope I get a nail in the tire soon.

My 1199 came with Q3's and I wondered if they might not be the best, then changed to Rosso III's and noticed a massive difference. I've had the III's at the track and found them predictable with plenty of grip. I'll likely replace them with the same.

What don't you like about the Q3plus? I'm asking as I have narrowed my next tire choices to them or Bridgestone S22or Pirelli Angel GT for street/commuting use.

To start off the rear tire needed 3 oz to balance, never had a tire that needed anywhere near that before. The Dunlop's are just stiff, probably do well on the track but no fun on the street imo. They also seem to wander a bit in corners. I had S22's before the Q3's and they were very nice tires for the price, but I still prefer Pirelli.

After having used the Michelin Power Cup 2s on track, and loving them, I bought a set of Power 5s for street riding. Great tire.

He did ask about a street tire and was looking for longevity and I’d assume wet capability.

Just put on a set of PC2's for street riding, whoa very different to SC's. The front is really planted, a year or so ago I swore Id never use Michys again but these feel really promising.

I pussed out. The Power 5s are not going to PBIR, found a set of Power Slick 2’s locally.

Hola, chicos,

yI would try the Dunlop TT
