What would you do?

So I have a deposit down on a 13 S

I have been patiently waiting for the snow to go away

While waiting I am also browsing around and come across a special deal

2012 S 1000km (600miles)
Full Termi
Comfort seat
Bunch of carbon goodies
All of the orig stock parts

The kicker being its 5000 less then my purchase price.

I have bought all of my bikes brand new since 1998 with the exception of my first F3 which I started out on way back when. The new dealer is throwing in the first service and crateing the bike to be shipped my way.

Do I eat my deposit here at my dealer and go to this exceptional deal?
Still going to have a huge saving which will allow me to explore other upgrades etc

I have made my decision already

Curious what others might do....

Go for the '12. I am sure the dealer will still do alright with service and other goodies you will get from them. They won't want to lose you a customer.

I would say take the 12 with the first Service done already and all the Carbon goodies.

That 5k saved would go quite nicely in modding the bike even further... Or could be used to put your new super model on the track where she can really be played with!!

Are you talking full termi or just termi slip-ons ? Thats like an $1800 difference (USD). A lot of people say "termi's", but they don't actually buy the mid pipe (maybe 90% of the installations don't have the "full" package). Just a note worth checking, but probably still doesn't change much of the aspects of the deal.

i had the same kinda thing happen w/ a horrible dealer here in NY. if they get weird about your deposit and won't give it back, make them issue you store credit. if they don't do that, calmly tell them they being hearing from a lawyer.

Also, I'm pretty sure that '12 you're looking at is the non-ABS model.

No its has abs, checked vin and visual check.

Sweet deal, where did you get it from ontario?... I was looking to do the same, and than got a used on in edmonton for a very good price I think. Man are they hard to find here in Canada.
