I hope for folks who ordered your 1199's you have received your confirmation from Ducati. :) This was a first for me and I wanted to know if anyone else has had Ducati send confirmation emails and if so what else can we expect over the next couple of months.

I am dying to see some new content or any kind of movement. There is nothing new on the internet all content is the same and stale. This is killing me

Got the email. Next is to go look at it at the NY bike show on Sunday. Then I am planting some grass and watching it grow till March/April.

Ducati addicts hanging out for the next fix... and we have to wait till Feb 15th whatever to get the first test reports.. just the same this has to be the most hyped bike for a while.
Just been out in the hills on my 848 which I put BSTs on and it is fun for sure.. but the new bike is going to be insanity... listening to the sound that the motor makes..

It's the January doldrums....

Excitement will pick up again in February when journalists get the chance to ride the "beast".

For a fair number of us, we should be writing our own reviews of our 1199s in less than 3 months! Considering that I put my deposit down in July, I feel I'm nearly there now. (come on April)

Hi DRSapp we dont get ours here in New Zealand until June, and our bikes come through Aussie. The only plus is that in NZ and Aust they have made ABS standard on all models as a saftey thing. June for us here is the middle of Winter, but you can still get some good riding in the middle of the day on the hill that is and on the local track.(Christchurch) Pricing in NZ for the base model is the same as the old 1198 price too. I cant afford an S so the first mod for me will be a racing seat and some stomp grip, and checking to see if the springs are good for my weight. (78kg) and termis of course.
If you can write a review in three months it would be great to hear.
