Super stock specs that I have seen were always lobe center numbers. Nvr seen SBK numbers cuz Ima squid : )

Yeah I suppose they will give some sort of tolerance as it would be quite time consuming for techs in the dealership to keep chasing 1 or 2 degrees of timing error from stock. Yeah tbh I’ve not really looked at any timing suggestions away from stock yet so not delved into it too much. But if I look to go for some performance cams ill be investing the time in sorting the timing out for that.

With the camshafts being the mechanical brain of the engine I like to use a large wheel, finely ground pointer, indicator on the piston to zero the wheel (with crank turning direction of rotation - not a dead stop where ya gotta back up) and put the cams within 1/2° of where I want them
