When No Other Cafe Racer Will Do

As a former Norton owner rider and racer I can appreciate this bike, I loved my 70 Commando, I up graded it to Combat specs a whooping 65 hp, but was able to spank Z1, Kz Kawasaki's all day long at the Rock Store and Angeles crest through superior handling.
Back in those days, you could always spot a Norton rider by their Popeye left forearm, insane clutch effort, we had to carry a spare cable taped in place. Diaphram clutch. I see they have addressed that on the new bike, I hope they sell a ton of the new un- aproachable Nortons

My Suzuki DRZ400S has 35hp. That's it. It may be a nobby tired dual sport, but it does everything I'd want a Cafe racer to do on the weekends. Every person that has called it: "Ugly, lame, gay, weak, geeky, or dirty", has given the bike back to me with a huge grin on their face. It's a fun bike. 35hp still makes it as fast as a mustang 0-60. And I can ride up and down concrete staircases for a shortcut.

85hp is plenty. Riding bike that won't kill you every time you twist the throttle is alot of fun. Especially after suffering on a Sportbike the day before. If it's a lightweight, forgiving, comfortable bike, it's going to be fun.

The old Buels were fun because they were comfy and relaxed. Same with the Monster and Hypermotard. They didn't have to be bonkers fire breathing dragons.
