Who is riding this winter?

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I ride half of the week, but it's raining in so cal. Sucks but it's much needed due to the drought.

Still riding at week ends, winter has really kicked in here into minus figures at night / morning. Don't care once I get on the bike , the underseat heating is a definate bonus. AC:rolleyes:

I hear ducati is working on a fix for the heat that gets directed on your crotch & hamstrings from engine bay. I'm thinking that would be a nice way to create a summer bike and back to stock for winter bike.

Winter Riding

Still riding in Chicago. Temps are still in the 50s, tomorrow 61. I'll be out for sure. Love this bike.

It was -6C this morning in Seoul, but I am still riding 1-2 times a week.
As long as there is no ice, I will be riding...

I'll be riding the mountain roads, with temps down to 15C.

May not sound cold, but with summer gloves and boots, I'll be feeling it for the next few months

I read others comments saying the salt will corrode the painted parts. I would assume so, therefore just rolled my 1199 into the basement for the winter. The town trucks just salted my street this morning. I'm unfortunately done till spring. I'm depressed now.

Come out our way for a vacation. Rainy season is February so not good but we get over 300 days a year to ride

I rode in the rain his morning, I enjoyed it. Duc's really like water it seems

:cool:I am with the So Cal guys. Year round here. Is going to be in the 70's all week.

I hate you guys. lol. Just kidding.
How do you like your VR Race Replica jacket? I have a Dainese Ducati Corse Perforated Leather jacket but really like the Valentino Rossi Race Replica Leather Jacket and gloves. I like the bright neon because it goes with my Safermoto Airbag Vest. (yes, the vest would cover up the chest and back graphics.)

It was a blistery 72 for our first December ride, I almost thought about putting my liner in!

Been in 60's in Nashville yesterday and today. Went for a ride this morning and will go to work here in a moment as it will be 50 ish when I get off. Looks like it will be in the 60's all week here in Nashville.

I love this jacket. It is heavy, has a removable liner and gets plenty of compliments!

Mines tucked away now, same problem salted roads now, even worse when its sunny and dry you put the bike away with the salt on and it makes a right mess.

I moved to Southern California from New York for this reason, i cant imagine putting the bike away for the winter any more. i did that when we lived there and it was horrible passing the bike in the garage for a few months at a time.

sadly, its raining here this week and very little riding (still ride some in the rain, just not in traffic). I have a good rain suit, so, Im going out tomorrow for a spell

Lucky lucky you. If i won the Lottery i"d move to California in a blink. The UK must have some of the most upside down weather on the planet:rolleyes:

Funnily enough I had a serious talk with my wife this morning precisely about that. We nearly moved to Cape Town two years ago due to the weather, but having family in SoCal, it may be an easier step.

Temp did not get above +1c today and the ice surrounding my house is still here. Another 3c cooler apparently tomorrow. Biking is defo on hold for now.
