Thanks to anyone who thinks they know where it might have come off the bike:)

Rubber? Looks like one of the rubber retainers they put in the fairings so another plastic piece with a tail on it will fit in, on my 2015 an example would be the cover on the front of the rear suspension mounts.

Rubber. Thanks, will look!

Well it seems the mystery part must have been left inside from the factory. While installing Evotech radiator and oil guards I looked it over thoroughly. You won't believe how many different uses they have for this part;)

now I’m noticing ur fancy exhaust. How much louder than the stock kit? How much better is the tone?
Never heard stock muffler because I had the dealer install this Akrapovic before pickup. Was able to compare craftsmanship with stock muffler though. NO COMPARISON! Legal noise levels and decent sound:cool:

On an 1199, bushings similar to the one shown are used at the radiator mounting bracket-to-horizontal cylinder head fastener mounts. The mudguard that attaches to the underside of the headlight assembly also uses a similar bushing. Nice looking bike.

You didn’t have to go to the dealer and buy that grommet and make up this crazy story to show off that SICK ASS RADIATOR

It kind of looks like the bushing which fits into the lower portion of the radiator shroud that receives the post on the bottom of the oil cooler. Part 4 in the diagram.

Could be part 8 too, it appears a few places. The size makes me think lower radiator shroud though.
