Why does the rear manifold on the WSB 1199 Termi take a different path?

I wish I could find a picture of a working Panigale with the exhaust but this is the only pic I could find. This is a pic taken from Badovini's crash, but the exhaust looks different, Why?

Simply put---they do what they want. Termi makes one off headers for race teams, just like Brembo makes one off calipers for each individual racer. Sometimes even racetrack specific.

Better performance for the specific application , what you can buy for the street is never what the top teams run on the track.

More torque.. It's 80mm and has a longer route... And the other WSBK team has them.. It's actually possible to get them, just not to the public quite yet... And brakes and such have to be available for sale, no different to tec3 Yamaha last year...

Stay with the facts guys...

The real reason is the One - off swing arm fitted to Checa's bike.

He requested a stiffer swing arm during pre-season testing.

When you see close-up pics you'll see the link pipe no longer passes through the arm.

This constituted a revised header/link pipe for the system.
