It's funny, on a local board (non brand specific) when I mentioned I was getting a Ducati, this is the exact message I received. Get ready for maintenance problems on a Ducati. Now, we're bashing KTM

I'm not sure he quite understood my reasons for making the shift. Had nothing to do with normal maintenance and everything to do with the cost of racing. I won't be racing the KTM, just enjoying it on the road.

I've been thinking about it too, but was looking at the 690 Enduro R and the 500 EXC. I'm thinking that the TAT, Shenandoah 500, Baja, etc. coupled with a bike that is more usable on the street might be more enjoyable than the Pani with track days sprinkled in. I haven't completely made up my mind yet though.

Pre-congrats on the new bike! Couldn't be a much more exciting model than that one. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the riding experience. I'm also looking at a new "street" bike too, and I'm considering the MV Agusta Rivale or a new Monster 1200 S. Was thinking about the KTM but I just love MV and Ducati.

I'm lucky enough to be able to keep my Pani, because even on the street its the most rewarding bike I've ever owned, foibles and all.

i hope you will still be watching moto gp. who will i have to argue with about rossi and such things? anyway good luck with your sale and the ktm i am sure it will be a blast.

Hahaha of course, the only sport I watch religiously. Maybe I'll stick around the forum just to talk MotoGP!

Says something about the Pani when an owner views something as bonkers as a 180hp SuperDuke R as a "sensible shoes" alternative!

Me, I'm craving a non-existent KTM RC690. They have the 690 Duke and now the RC390, so they should just leave them in a dark room with an open bottle of wine and see what happens...

Njoy your new ride MacaveliMC . I wasn't saying you were making it a big issue, just that here the bike shop is just about null in void and the Ducati dealer takes care of the KTM's here is all. One of my riding buddies has the KTM RC8 and loves it. Which it is a nice bike since I've ridden it a couple of times. So, njoy ur new ride
