My bike has 5400 miles, I am the 2nd ower,

I have been dealing with a small issue and want to get your opinion on what might be causing it.

I feel what can only be described as "lose chain syndrome". I can feel vibration/knocking on my left footpeg, initially I thought it was lose chain hitting the bottom of my swing arm. I checked and the chain WAS lose, so I tightened it, but the vibration , for the most part, remains. So now that I have eliminated the lose chain issue, what else could it be?

My next guess is worn cush-drive. Is it possible that cush-drives are already worn at 5400 miles? (The previous owner decided to do a nice burn out before handing the bike to me, evident from tire wear which was not present on "for sale" pictures)

Thank you for your input

Loose chain could mean worn sprockets too check them out also. Check for tight spots on the chain too
