Well I'm off for my annual pilgramige to PI tomorrow.

Bike is loaded up and I can't wait to see the boys do battle on Saturday/Sunday.

As usual it is a hot summer here and yet PI is predicted to piss down on Sat/Sun so it should make for some interesting racing.

Wishing Team Ducati plus Baylis in the sporting classes all the best for 2018.

Hopefully others from the forum can make it as well.

Stuck in Darwin.
Couple of the BMW boys started there ride from here.
 
Yep doing the annual pilgrimage. This time on the Ducati Enduro, using as much b and dirt roads as possible. Those Victorian police are deadly!!!!

Looks like Melandri is on the pace, Chaz is struggling, and Bayliss will be trying his heart out.

Those new rules are confusing, but still doesn’t look like it has slowed those annoying Kawasaki’s down, bugger.

Great weekend ahead as usual.
 
On the GS with the Mrs this year Namadgi National Park is a corker and (8.5) coming through the snowy), predictions are rain but as you know PI has a micro climate so weather may be OK. Bayliss is a bloody legend and talented to boot!

Will be great to hear the Ducati’s as they tip into Doohan corner ��

Anyone have a good source to watch wsbk? It's never on any of my cable channels

I just pay for the WSBK subscription so I can watch it when ever I want and get all the info and vids the put out on their site. Made it much easier and more reliable then on Bien channel through the cable provider. Plus you get the 300 and SSTK races to watch.
 
Well I didn't make it and am currently sitting in petrol station 2 hours from Melbourne. Nothing like a Panigale on fire to .... your day up. After travelling 500kms in the wet one of the cyclinders decided to start cutting out. By the time I pulled over the inside faces of the cans were glowing red and it had melted the plastic sump cover to the point it had caught fire.

I have no warning lights, bike idles perfect but after 5-10 mins of riding it happens again.

Anyone have any ideas? I pulled out the BBS unit and found one wire that that exposed wiring so I wrapped it in insulation tape. Pulled the rear spark plug and nothing obvious.

I said "never again" to this a few years back as the streaming kept collapsing throughout the season,
with the subscription support was chronic and unapologetic.

I gave in this year when they offered the whole season for under 60 euros.
Lets hope the system is flawless this year.

I hope it works for you. I can't remember having any issues with my susbscrption last year. Much cheaper than the MotoGP subscription but not on the same level.
 
To jock39 racer,

It could be a faulty map sensor on one cylinder.

That feels like a cylinder is misfiring with a faulty spark plug and makes riding it real rough including backfiring etc, I know it happened to mine.

It is a real quick fix if you can get it to a Ducati dealer. They plug in the diagnostic computer, identify the sensor, then replace with a new one. It is on the left hand side under the fairing near the petrol tank. Takes about 15 mins and cost about $150.

They just go with no warning.

Mine had a warning light come on but very intermittent

Been a while since your post are you OK?
 
If I buy the on line access can you view at anytime? Or is it just live stream?

Hi Jon,
All good. I had a 6 hour wait at Ararat until a mate came and got me with a trailer. Got home about 0700.

Bike is up on the table currently getting stripped. I have to look at what damage got done under the bike.

Cheers mate. I’ll strip and clean the bike first then roll around to my dealer. Just out of curiousity, I replaced the plugs 500kms ago. Do I need to do it again? Faulty sensors are just plug and play I've learned. At $130 each I'll replace both.

If only it held in for another 200kms I would have gotten to the Island....doh!

Assuming this post twas about the WSBK Video subscription: it is on demand. In fact I found watching at last an hour after the live event the quality tends to be better then when live.

No it was originally about 3 Australian guys venturing to Phillip Island for the WSBK and ASBK competition. Then one guy's Pani caught on fire while on the way and you guy's carried on about subscriptions
 
To jock39racer,

No you don’t need to replace the plugs if it is a map sensor
