Anyone have experience w/ them? Looking at the x-803

I'm torn between xlite, shoei x14 and suomy sr sport

I have the X-802 and like it very much.. Its Lorenzo's "moon landing"...

This is the one I am thinking about. I hope a medium fits...

I have 2 x-lites. They fit try to size. If your a medium in one you'll be a med in the other kind of thing. The only other helmet I would like to try is the Shoei X14. The fit and vis look awesome.

Appreciate the insight. I wish there was someplace around here to try on some of these helmets but I live in the middle of nowhere. :)

i have a x14 it fits very snug but at speed its very nice

All the helmets we're talking about are "race" fit so they are snug for high speed and the line of sight is 3/4 tuck or greater. Definitely not for tooling around town.

i can tell you this much out of the three if you can get the suomy to fit your dome go with it. top of the line helmet. i use to be a huge suomy guy with the spec 1r extreme. they changed the shell shape now it doesn't fit me right. id love to get the dovi blue horse lid can't get it to fit.

im now a shoei guy. have an x12 had an rf1200 now going for the x14 but if i could get the suomy to fit id go with that.

was going to get a nolan (xlite) stoner replica but wasn't going to risk buying it from overseas and it not fitting correctly.

if you live in extreme heat go with the bell star but buy earplugs its loud

I had a spec 1r and loved it. But ive heard the same about the new Suomy's. I had a bell star and hated it, parts literally fell out of it. Never had a shoei. The quality of my arai is amazing, just a bit off in fit.

bell made vast improvements in the star line. i had many carbon ones that fit a little off but worth it for the summer. i had the black beauty the laguna seca the COTA now the pro star. each year they got better but back a few years ago i agree they were not so great i just liked the carbon.

most not all that fit in shoei cant wear arai and vice versa. i love my x12 i will get an x14 ( i want the cota marquez graphic ive been waiting for it for over a year and i know if i buy a different marquez the graphic i want will come out). just wish i had a suomy option or an arai option bet they are a little off for me. or maybe im a little off for them hahaha

I went with the Suomy SR Sport and could not be happier! The helmet feels super light compared to the Shoei, ventilation is top notch, and the aerodynamics are excellent when looking over your shoulder. I was a bit hesitant when deciding on the Suomy given the lack of feedback and reviews, but I'm very happy with my decision and would recommend the Suomy.

Back when I had the spec 1r it was common practice to go up a size. I'm a medley in everything else but in suomy I was a large. The large fit like it was custom made for my head and the graphics were amazing. I had the wall st. Now the Sr I tried a med and it was very big and the dealer never had the small. I will keep looking. I buy helmets like women buy shoes but I'm working on it

I have always been a Shoei fan no matter how much I liked any of the Arai designs. The fit is just not there with the Arai but perfect with Shoei. I recently retired my X11 and found prices for the X13-14 too much for my budget. The X-Lite 802 series was replaced by the 803 and there are ridiculous bargains for the outgoing model. I bought the carbon Puro full carbon for less than 300,- euros with shipping included. I had tried it on already last year when I first set eye on it. The fit is very similar to the the X11 Shoei. I hope it won't fall apart by the end of the season. It is so light I have doubts there is enough material in it... :)

Got it. So far I am impressed. Fits my melon better than the arai. Interior is amazing. I will have to get use to the shield opening fron the center is all
