Xdiavel s engine failure
I recently suffered engine failure on a xdiavel s 2017 with only 5500 miles there are bits of metal everywhere when I removed oil filter I was lucky to survive as rear wheel locked when gear box sized had a 75m slide bike ok but left with none working engine does anyone know a good bike repairer who would be willing to take this job on

If there's much damage it will be cheaper to find a low mileage used motor. A rebuild will be 40+ hours labor plus parts and VAG has decided to rape Ducati's customers with ridiculous parts cost.

Was looking at second hand motor but not sure if I would have same problem as I have read a few blogs where this has happened all the metal that is coming out is very thin like a bean can noticed when you try to select a gear there is no engagement wheel just turns freely bike did start up but very noisy so shut off straight away looks like all the shrapnel is what locked gearbox up was looking to strip bike down myself and get as far as I can until I need help to keep costs down bike has over £15k of extras so to much invested to write off everything as new until this happened lucky on riding a straight stretch of road when it locked up as I would be dead if it was on a corner
