Herewith my bike history.
Test passed at the end of Dec 02 and picked up this Monster 800s i.e. beauty a week later:
This lasted a year before I decided it was underpowered. Changed up to this Monster S4:
Effectively a new bike, this had been unregistered with dealer for a couple of years. It was the most unreliable bike I have ever experienced (owned or otherwise). Four months later this went to be replaced by a GSXR 750 (2003 model). Due to WP Race shock, WP fork internals and an amazing set up by James Wilson (sadly now dead), this was the best handling bike I have owned:
It also got me into a track riding fanatic. Subsequently replaced by GSXR 1000. Also fitted with WP Race shock and fork internals. Set up Steve Jordan. Storming performance but never felt really comfortable with the power distribution:
Then came my first 'blade. CBR1000RR 06. Less power than the GSXR 1000 but my lap times on the GP length circuits came down by a couple of seconds a lap due to my deep trust of this bike. Yup WP Race shock and fork internals. Set up by Steve Jordan
I kept this for three years and then was tempted into the CBR1000RR 09 model. Full suspension job as the previous blade, but I could never get the trust I had for the 06 model. Oddly I cannot find any pictures of my bike so this pic will do for now
August 2012 and Ducati came back into my life. Standard suspension but set up by JHP Racing at Ducati Coventry. Love it:
There was also a rented Harley Street Glide in 2010 whilst out in California for a month, but I have practically erased that from my memory. Got me from SF to LA and many bits inbetween, but no love. Sorry to you HD fans.
