I'm still trying to decide what to get for the 520 chain conversion. I got a DID ZVM-X 520 Chain for a crazy $55 on eBay, brand new in the box. Now I'm looking at sprocket carriers and flange covers, etc. I'm a cheap ....... so after cleaning up the my drool over everyone's trick setups on...

I am changing the gearing and I have always used a 520, even racing years ago. My dealer advised me against it for the 1199 and said I should stick with the 525. I guess it is not needed but again I have always put it on my bikes. Any thought would be appreciated. Am I just being silly.

Finally received all the parts from Bellissimoto and got them installed today at Melillimoto in ocala. It came out very nice. Thanks for looking out Gunny. I'm also installing my race bodywork for a track day on the 22nd. Taking the front fairing ins a true PITA.

Sorry no pics but HOLY SHNIKEYS what an improvement! I honestly did not expect this much of a low end change, so glad I had this done! As I take the stock parts and load them into my backpack for the ride home, I couldn't help but think I must've shed a couple of pounds with the new kit too...

I'm seeing priced vary widely for a conversion kit, can someone direct me who has the best deal? So far it looks like Kyle @ $346 shipped.

I'm having the 41T sprocket change but the mechanic is proposing a 520 chain - is there any drawbacks with a 520?
