    "R" owners: is the aluminum on the tank clear coated

    Or in a "raw" state. By hand, it feels raw and leaves an oxide on the white part of my leathers where they rub against the tank. I was going to apply the TankSlapper 3M clear protective covering kit; but am not sure if this is the right thing to do if the tanks are actually unfinished...

    Does anyone have a set of these, or had any experience with them? I know there are a few Carbon sets out there now but I'm not that way inclined. Although the standard S wheels look ok, these would be a great addition...
