I had another bike my Panigale battery would fit, so I went ahead and got the Shorai lithium. I was amazed how small and light it was. Probably .5lb compared to my Pani 4+ lb battery. It came wth several pads, to make sure it fit snug in the carrier.

I assume all markets are fitted with the same battery? I am speaking to some people here in the UK about a Lithium battery for faster starting and low weight and was wondering what battery is fitted to our bikes without having to remove the left side fairing. Anyone know for sure?

Has anyone dropped in an aftermarket lithium battery yet? I know the weight savings can lead to almost 6-7 lbs, and the bike will probably start faster as well. Just wanted to see which ones are an easy fitment without any sort of mods or sizing issues. Thanks!

So I just picked-up a Battery Tender Jr. Any opinions on whether it is a good idea to leave it plugged in at all times that the bike is parked? I'm debating whether to leave it plugged in at all times or just to plug it in a day before my ride (which is usually just on the weekends).

I picked this up yesterday, as I like the idea of connecting the charger via the under seat diagnostic port: End of the day, a chargers a charger and this is nice :p
