Hi guys, I wanted to change the color of my jacket (fabric). Not the whole jacket as it is black but just some neon yellow pieces. I was thinking of making them either red or black (easier). What do you think? Do I risk ruining it or since it's fabric there will be no problems..? Thx
Looks like the maintenance schedule calls for changing fork fluid at 36months. When are you guys changing yours? I've heard the school of though that you dont open them up until they starts leaking. If it matters, I'm specifically interested for the 1299s.
Does your answer change if it's...
So I'd like a black sprocket.
Sprockets without the quick change set up seems to be rare?

Greetings, first post, second Ducati. My question, I dropped the oil at 177 miles and noticed bronze /copper micro fillings at the bottom of the oil drain pan after overnight sitting. Any other V4 owners noticed the bronze? The magnet had minimal fuzz WITH NO CHIPS or anything larger . I have...
So I'm in the process of swapping out the OEM stuff for the quick change stuff and have a question about the washer that sits between the OEM hub and the bearing. It appears as thought the Superlight hub does not use it. There is a slight recessed area for it to sit in on the OEM hub but not the...
Just did first oil change. Weighed oil to make sure refilled to same level.
Oil looks a little high in glass but same as before.
Now I have a red oil light on the dash and when I give full revs in neutral the motor revs hard. But If i give slow rev the motor spins up a little then seems to...
Hi All,
Anyone here has done a clutch pack change on their Hypermotard 821 (mine is a 2014 Standard (non-sp) Hypermotard)? From the mechanical diagram it seems like there's no need to remove the basket retaining nut to change the clutch. However from the Service manual it states you need to...
I just picked up a Sprint air filter and was wondering what how long it took forum members to change out their air filters the first time they were doing it. And what is the average time frame for forum members who have done this before and go in to clean out their filters from time to time. I...
Does anyone know the official size of the socket required to change the rear tire? I have a suitable torque wrench and a tire changer. Is the socket size 48mm? Also, I got a torque setting for the axle nut... I want to confirm here is 250 newton/meters is correct?
My v4 has 1500 miles on it and I've done 3 trackday weekends on it without issues.
Yesterday, during a cruise around town, three times I ran into an issue where suddenly bike showed following errors all at once:
- ABS
- DES (Dynamic Suspension)
- DSC
- Check engine light
On top of that...
Anyone swapped the sprint filter in yet? I can see where it is, but havent tried, how hard is it to swap the filters? Can I loosed the four bolts, or do I have take the whole front fairing off?
The gearing on my bike is way too tall so I want to go down one tooth on the front and change to a quick change carrier on the back do a 520 conversion .

Hey all I posted this in the technical section but got 100 views and no replies so I'm posting it here too. Trying to figure out if I have the wrong part or missing a spacer or something like that.....
I have a question about installing this quick change carrier I bought. It seems that on...
Hi All,
I have a question about installing this quick change carrier I bought. It seems that on the backside of the carrier it is recessed so that the sprocket sits too far back against the hub. When I look at the OEM piece that came off it seems to be more flush all the way across the back...
I have had the EOBD (engine) light come on and the only warning that displays is the oil change warning. Is the EOBD light suppose to come on in conjunction with the oil change warning or do I have other problems as well?
thank you!
First track day on my 1299 tomorrow, 6 x 20min sessions, just wondering whether I should replace the oil and filter after or wait for the scheduled service?
TIA
Phil

My bike will be 6 years old in November. It's less than 8k on my odometer. Of late I've experienced difficulties in changing gears, especially neutral.. could it be transmission oil/ or anything more severe
