when recording your lap times with this device do you have to actually start it and hit anything after a lap or is it all done automatically by positioning on the track?

I would like to know if anyone has taken the DDA-Gps unit from their 1199 and used it On their 1299 as I see in the parts catalogue that they have different part numbers? Does it work? Anyone tried?

Who has it and what is your take? How does it know you crossed the finish? Do you need to set up a beacon? Does it show laptimes on your dash or do you need to hook it up to a computer? Would be annoying if you have to take off your tail just to get to it each time (track fairings). Thanks!

Just got myself the full DDA Ducati Data acquisition kit designed by Ducati Corse Panigale 1199 / 899 SBK Part Number #96524111B for $2000 AU. Can't wait to fit it and take it to the track.
