Hi All, Just wanted to find out if anyone has upgraded their base model 1299 rear shock to an Ohlins Rear shock. I would like to also find out the model of Ohlins shock used as I am finding it hard to figure out the exact model needed for the 1299. Thanks in advance. Cheers Chris

Just kidding :) Had to find some sort of "mad max" solution to remove the rear shock for the Oehlins recall work on the SL shock absorber....

What's a good rear shock for my base 1199? I weigh 185lbs. I see a TTX for sale on the forum and I just need some input please.

The Shock Recall is also for the SL. In fact, if your shock is part of the recall, you will have to send your shock to Ohlins as they will hand rebuild the SL shock and will NOT be done by the dealer...

So I called MotoWheel and they no longer do the conversion and have no referrals. Sucks. I googled Larry Albin and his contact number no longer works haha. Sooooo just wondering if anyone has a person or shop who can convert it? TIA

Anybody tried this on a stock panigale shock? Was curious if it would be a viable option vs buying a TTX Ohlins. Several companies do it. I think even ohlins if im not mistaken. Cost vs new shock etc.

Can someone tell me the visible difference between the MK1 and MK2 TTX shock, and where it would mark MK2 Cause I thought that the spring pressure was hydraulically set. Info I have now is there is no MK1 it was always MK2 and has a replacement of DU340 TTX GP shock. Maybe useful for for anyone...
