My better half has given me the thumbs up on the purchase of a 1199. I know I'm late to the game here as many of you put deposits down last year and you are just now seeing your bikes show up (except here in the US). I'm wondering, with the possibility that many may not see base 1199's until...

Even visited the factory in Bologna, Italy in 1995, hardly anybody at that time can visit the factory. Very interesting. Enjoyed riding that cycle around the Santa Monica mountains.
