CORDONA QUICK SHIFTER Horrible experience

Two questions here up for debate,
Would it be wise to alter or modify the fairing in a way that allows the module to breathe "half an inch cut inwards to ram airflow towards the piece"

Second, was this quick shifter in particular designed for road use ? "Traffic stops and what have you"

Just trying to think outside the box here since Cordona shifters have a proven track record and many racing teams in WSBK swear by them however it never crossed my mind that certain parts of the world "hot climate typically" require specific engineering or alternative approaches

Install it as recommended by the manufacturer and you shouldn't have any issues. This item is likely intended for track use. But on the track, in SoCal or Florida during the summer, the item could easily experience the same heat conditions as you would find on the road. I'd imagine it would be the same for the middle east.

Iván lee, córdonas dealer has helped me out to solve this, and will replace my QS

The instalation instructions were not very clear, and my QS was not installed in the best posible position. That caused the malfunction.

CORDONA is working on making a more clear instruction pictures, to prevent future problems

Thanks to Ivan for his great service and standing behind his product

TBH, I wish this thread had not be created only because Ivan wasn't given a fair opportunity to address this issue on a 1-on-1 level and Cordona was put on blast here when it wasn't entirely their fault in the first place.

I mean I have no skin in the game anyways, but that's how I saw it.

Here is mounted picture from the Cordona.

Can someone supply a link or contact info for this shifter? I'm in America, so would prefer a US source if possible.

Iván came thru

I will try the shifter again

If moderators want to erase this thread

Or it can also help to clear out the best instalation options

Guys, if you're in the U.S., contact Mani at Moto Million. He is the U.S. distributor for Cordona.

I agree, they need to update their instructions. I had an issue while installing track side. Mani was able to get Cordona on the phone immediately to clarify the issue.

With that being said, the product is phenomenal. I've been racing with it and it's first rate.

Kyle Wyman raced with it for the entire season in Moto America with ZERO issues.

Feel free to contact me directly at Ducati Detroit if you have any questions. We are a dealer for Cordona.

Glad to see you have the issue resolved. The heat off the V4's are pretty immense and have to make sure quickshifter modules are placed away from the heat.

We've even seen stock quick shifters have issues when they are subject to the heat.
