I just booked my Track Day at Laguna Seca. I call the organizer (PTT) and ask about the Noise level of the 1299 and he said that they get a lot of Panigales at Laguna Seca and they don't have issues with Stock bikes. Also he said that if the bike is completely stock they will make an case for you. Now, with that said, they can tell me whatever I want to hear just to get my money and then change it once I get there. I have done track days with PTT before and never had any issues with them and specifically at Laguna and they have always been great.

I hope that info helps makes anyone's decision easier to make. Also its a Saturday/Sunday event but what I saw on Saturday only Group A was available and on Sunday all three groups are open.

Hope to see/meet some of you there.

lol if you say so but good luck anyways. a stock R6 can't even pass so you think about that. Never been there and never will with their rules. whats the point of paying 300++ only to get kicked out.

I just went with full Akra. I let off going up the hill (between 5 and 6) and didn't have a problem.

Been there and yes he is right. Relax you'll be fine and will have much fun.

Of course unless you are trying to break the track record and want to FULL throttle every where.... just dont between 5 and 6 and STAY to the LEFT.

And yes, I live 10 mins away from the track. I will be there and I will look for you. :D

Look for Blue Benz Sprinter. You can camp next to me if you like.

Wow, it was part tongue in check but I'm overwhelmed by the offers. Wondering if I can make it happen now! I'm supposed to be racing that weekend plus have bikes to pick up from our Imola/Mugello trip but Laguna Seca.....

I would possibly have the lady with me who would also need to get a bike so I would be better to look into properly hiring something. I'd really love to go around on a Ducati though.

Hey youngR what exhaust do you run at Laguna? I still have credit with PTT but mine R is extremely loud. I should look for DB killers, I don't know where mine went.

I run Stock Akra R exhaust so as you know, it is slightly less louder than full Akra.

You may know this already but again, turn 5-6 half throttle and stay left. I've seen people get black flagged (warning) - Suzuki.

You can test your sound in the pit but not sure if that is a good idea. If you do go over, they know your bike and your number...they may look for you on the track. :D

It sounds like a much better system to the UK. Here we have static tests which are not representative of actual noise on track. Panigales have a nightmare because the noise reverberates off the floor. I swear my BMW is louder on full throttle than the Pani yet it passes the static tests due to the exhaust valve making it quiet below 5k

Haha yeah, definitely won't pass the noise test. I have full Termi without DBs... I might have a chance with DBs if I find a pair on time.

Interesting. Learned something.
