Hey guys !

I'm looking at picking up an 1199 (standard) at the moment with the hope of viewing it on Friday.

Is there anything you would advise checking before making the deal, common faults to keep an eye on etc .

It looks clean for the year being 2012 and has a full service history, just under 10k miles with a full service done about 150 miles ago. With that being said I would love not to get stun on my return to do the ducs .

Appreciate anything hint and tips !

The Marzocchi forks are known to lose rebound on the early models. Other than that cant think of any major problems, I have a 14 base model and just turned 15k on mine.

I have a base that may or may not be for sale soon. ;) If you're interested and the one you're looking at doesn't work out just let me know. Check your messages about it. As for any "issues", as SCRider said, the forks are known to have a few little issues. Mine had a slight weep that was addressed by the shop. The mechanic told me they see them more on those forks than others. And valve cover weeps/leaks, and from what Ive seen, it tends to happen more on the vertical. All in all, these are things that you tend to see/look for on any bike. Especially forks. Nothing big or major that Ive ran into. Good luck with your purchase! Im sure you'll be happy!
