Yeah Ceramic is the ideal material for this. Do you have this?

I have it on order, I've been having lengthy email discussions with Julius (owner) around Ilmberger carbon quality and although i have never seen there parts before I am confident that these guys are amongst the best out there.

Will post up pics and review when they arrive in a few weeks.
Hope I'm not wrong

That would be outstanding, I want to get rid of the garish heat shield that's on there more than get rid of heat lol. I don't have much of an issue, but damn that thing looks tacky. I think it's too hot for CF longevity.

I wish I hadn't been posted to the Ilmberger website, too many great options, lucky Christmas is coming soon.

Has anyone used exhaust shield wrapping tape like race bikes have to see if it make much difference to the heat radiated at the exhaust?

I would put the $500 towards the termi manifiolds ( if you have slip ons). It already comes with the carbon guard that look far better than stock, and this way the manifolds only cost you $1400 instead of $1900.

That's an option. I may just stick with this route. It looks like they are working the kinks out of the full system as well. It will certainly be cheaper than a FI module and another full system lol.
