I believe the dash can be scratched easily and/or fine lines of scratches.

Maybe perhaps putting 3M film on it will help? Only issues I see is perhaps heat? but I dont think that will be an issue but actually put it on, since you need to use water/based to get it on. I believe, Like a phone screen, film on it will help.

Although, I am not sure how scratches can get there to begin with. Anyone have come across scratches?

The dash does scratch easily from what I heard. So I installed 3M film on my dash right away. Same stuff they use to protect phone screens. Been on for almost a year now and still looks good.

I wish I had protected it. My clutch reservoir leaked and the wind blew the fluid onto the screen causing it to eat some of the screen.

If you haven't yet, protect it right away. It only takes one bad day and the screen will look like crap forever.

Can you provide us with more info on what you used? maybe a link or direction?

Thanks.

Funny you should say this, I just made a small nick in it. It's bugging the .... out of me.

Buy a tablet screen and cut it down, nuff said.

Left mine out in the sun on Thursday and the DP screen has melted the display near the shift lights. Not too bad, just a slightly wavey surface, but it shouldn't happen. I'm going to have to cover the display whenever I park the bike going forward.

As it happens Ducati already agreed to replace the display (3rd one) on account of the fogging.

I'm going to put an cut-down iPad screen protector on the new display and make a small shroud I can cover it with when parked.

I wish I would have thought about the screen protector hen I had mine replaced... doh!

When I got my tankslapper kit last year I paid some extra for a extra big sheet of 3m. I then have made custom fit covers for the tank ducat stickers, the dash screen and for the panigale stickers on the side of the fairing.

It is a piece of cheap plastic what the used for such a sophisticated dash. After scratching the hell out of my first dash wiping the dust off with a tissue, I now use an air blower to remove dust, I never even touch it. And still it get scratches, I have no idea how! What a piece of ....

I've got an inch long deep scratch in mine from god only knows what. Its somehow getting worse too.... IDK. I'm praying my 2013 would fog up so it could be replaced, but no luck :(

I just got my R yesterday and want to have something to protect my dash ASAP.. is the above 3M film the only option or are there others too that do the job..

Any suggestions?

I cover the dash with a microfiber when parked. I will put some film on it next, however, just as I did with the taillight to protect from cracking.
