I have a 2012 1199s. I never really noticed it but I just always felt kinda of uncomfortable on the bike but I didn't know why. I let the handlebars go once on a flat surface cause I was following someone slow and I noticed the bike cut to the left really hard. Almost like something was not lined up right on the bike. My R1 and R6 go strait when I do this. After doing this I noticed why I was uncomfortable. The bike wiggles a little in turns even when on the throttle and especially when I get off the throttle. It feels like the bike is fighting to go left but the speed keeps it strait. I don't notice it when my hands are on the bars and I am going strait but on the throttle. If I get off the throttle going strait it wiggles. I brought it into the dealer and they said everything is fine and that I might need a new front tire. The tire still looks new, bike has 1200 miles on it. You guys have any insight? Im scared it might wiggle to much on the highway and then I'm out of luck.

Damn! I knew this would happen!!! ....!!!!!! Big big problem bro I'm afraid..... Your bike has the WIGGLES :(....... Sorry man........

Balance issue? Has the front wheel been off at all? Try loosening all the triple clamp bolts and axle bolts etc and re tightening, could be slightly binding causing wheel to be slightly out of line? There was another thread with similar issue on here from memory.

did they test ride it? grtz

With the bike on the rear stand, loosen the triple clamps and push down on the front suspension a couple of times. This will align the front and alleviate any binding that could be happening. This is a good place to start and its free.

Your wrong. The front forks could be out of alignment and binding as the forks try to compress, and thus twisting the front wheels. Its a common practice for motocross or when you have been working on the front forks.

Everything your suggesting could be as simple as the wrong tire pressure, and suspension adjustment.

I noticed when I had my fork preload set slightly different, that when I got on the brakes it went a little left. I adjusted the arrows so they were pointing at the same place and it worked it out, I had a little different spring rate in one fork than the other. On another note, I had the bike want to go hard left when I got on the throttle for a while, took it to the dealer and one of the main pins to the rear shock was not torqued to where it should have been, now it's normal.

On another note, I too have noticed the bike leans slightly left when I let it drift along without holding onto the handlebars. But, our swingarm is on one side, the battery, and the shock, so maybe a slight imbalance. I replaced the stock battery with a shorai to drop about 7-8 lbs and it worked most of it out. Just my .02 on my experience thus far with circumstances like this.
